About me

    My Name is Michael, and I am a builder.

    I grew up in a family of builders, my father and uncle had a business together for many years building and renovating homes in New Haven Connecticut. My father started me out early at age 12 and my summer vacations became work related. I still remember the very first day at work, I was told to load the truck with cement blocks for a foundation...  and I promptly squashed my thumb between two Concrete blocks.

    I managed to survive my first day, and went on to get an education in building homes. My father firmly believed that to be a builder you needed to know every step of the construction process intimately. Beginning with digging the foundation to framing the home and installing the kitchen. He taught me every step and encouraged me to not only understand the process, but to master it as well.

    After many years working together, I went off on my own to build new homes from the ground up. I love the design process and take great pride in designing and building homes for my customers that they will love for years to come. I still do quite a bit of renovations as well, remodeling homes and taking them from dated and poorly designed to beautiful, up to date and usable.

    I am creating this blog to share some of the secrets, tips and tricks I have learned from over 30 years of working on peoples homes. I hope I can help you accomplish all the things you never thought you could do!
