For all you Wino's, winer's, winey kinda people out there. Here are some quick and easy ideas for wine storage that will beautify your kitchen.

“Wine makes every meal an occasion, every table more elegant, every day more civilized.”

Wine for many of us is a must have in the kitchen, the dining room, the living room, the bedroom... If you are like most people, your bottles are often shoved in closets, a pantry or a cabinet out of sight and probably stored incorrectly. Here are a few ideas I've come across to store a few bottles of wine that make for beautiful and space saving displays.

I love to have a few bottles of wine handy on my kitchen counter, unfortunately I love to cook, and my counter space is very limited. Here are a couple inexpensive wine racks that are creative and look fantastic, but don't take up counter space.

I love this, it takes up no counter space and keeps a few bottles right at your fingertips!

Wall mounted wine racks are fantastic space savers. I use them in my own pantry to keep the bottles properly stored on their sides and not rolling all over the place. This model from Ikea holds four bottles and is very simple. This is what I use.

 Super simple, and so helpful.

My Ikea rack is hidden in the pantry. But for more visible storage with a very cool look, this is what i recommend. this fits in with any type of kitchen design. Everyone has a small section of wall that is wasted space, an area you can't find anything to make it usable. Well hang this wine rack up, open a bottle and decide what would work better than this? I can't think of anything!

Ok, I know some of you are sitting there saying " come on now 4-8 bottles of wine? that's a good night with friends. What about for our wine cellar?"  Here is a great storage rack that is easy to keep clean, holds 126 bottles of wine, is expandable and looks good. You don't have to have expensive wood wine racks. I like the clean lines and awesome storage capacity of this rack, it can be used anywhere.  It doesn't need to be installed, although I do recommend securing the top to the wall behind it for safety. start your collecting now!

I haven't gotten into custom wine storage yet, I see many new designs every year at the International Builders Show in January. I am planning on adding a ton more ideas for custom wine racks here after the show. If you can dream it I can build it. I'm excited to start offering very cool modern ways to showcase your wine. Also plan on seeing ideas for complete wine cellars. I have several vendors that I will be talking to and showing you wine cellars that will take your breath away!

If you have a favorite wine rack, wine cellar, or idea for one, I would love for you to contact me and show me. I have many ideas for  creating wine racks and cellars, and would love to put them to use!
